What’s up guys. I installed my poison spyder crawler rear bumper and tire carrier this weekend. Is there anything out there to cover up the underside where the tail light and third brake light harnesses are? Or is it just supposed to stay wide open now? I can see it catching all kinds of debris. It’s wide open now. Here’s a crappy picture of the area I’m talking about.
I thought about putting the bracket and factory plastic piece back in but it will only be secured by 2 bolts in the frame and the underside will still be open.
Is there anything out there for this?

I see plenty of mounting point opportunities. If there isn’t something out there I may just try to DIY something out of some sheet metal. Surprised manufacturers aren’t making this piece along with their inner fenders. The JK’s used to have some type of thick fiberglass mat or something similar to close this panel area.

Would be cool to see pics of what you make...

Prototype/first draft
So I chopped up the metal bracket that holds the lower plastic piece on. Cut the mounting point off and rewelded it on in a different position. That’ll give me solid mounting for a little piece of plastic.
For the plastic i remolded it to bend backwards and trimmed off most of the extras. I’ll post a finished pic when the paint dries and I trim off all the extra plastic. It won’t be perfect but it’ll do till the aftermarket can catch up. (P.S. I’m not a welder, I know the welds look like crap but they’ll serve their purpose of holding up 1/10th of a pound lol).

So the driver side is done. This is a rough draft on what could be. I have very limited resources so I could only use what I had. The existing bracket, bolts, fender plastic, and zip ties. I’m sure I could fab up a better bracket and get some sheet metal that I could cut to fit exactly. But I’ll wait for the aftermarket to catch up and do all that lol. This will work for now. I ran out of sunlight so I’ll do the other side tomorrow.
