That function must be trim-dependent.

I'll just here a mild pinging tone, and only after I reenter the running Jeep, prompting me to press the OK button on the steering wheel to extinguish the "Fob away from vehicle" warning message on the center TFT screen.
The 3 honk was added after 21, 22 I think, but my 21 doesn’t require a button push either, it just goes away.

Tired again
I know Tazer offered this function in 2018, then discontinued it in 2019. I wrote them in 2020 and was told, ā€œI’m sorry, we no longer offer that feature.ā€ More recently I was told that this function had been restored. Is that correct?

One of the annoying babysitting devices on my '21 JL is that it won't let me move the Jeep when my door is open. Yes, I know it's a safety thing, but sometimes I need to see what my mirrors don't show me, or I can't see through the door panel.

What do you guys do to let you open the door and still drive or backup? Putting my foot on the switch isn't an option, I'm not that flexible!

Is there an override? Can you hack the switch by removing it and jumping the wires so it's "always closed"? Surely, there is a solution that you guys have for this!

Yep. Some are helpful... I’m afraid 98% give the good 2% a bad name. :CWL::LOL:

Of course, our culture is really to blame. If lawyers didn’t get rich filing bullshit lawsuits they would stop doing it.

They have lawyers in New Zealand too, but their medical/auto/home insurance rates are a tiny fraction of ours. Theyā€˜re not inclined to sue others for every misfortune that befalls them. Their culture emphasizes personal responsibility. Interesting concept.

If we implemented the loser pay principal like the UK, Canada, Japan, many others likely including New Zealand it would be quite helpful reducing frivolous why not give it a shot lawsuits.

I agree 100%. That’s one of the components of most tort-reform proposals. Guess who always kills the tort reform efforts? Plaintiff’s lawyers…. Lots of money, lobbyists, and properly placed contributions. Even more powerful than all of the physician groups, it seems, as docs would love to see practical tort reform.

Yep- years ago a Sacramento attorney was preying on small businesses with the ADA act. Measuring everything, if the parking lot was repaved and the sign was now an inch to low, or the grab handrail in the bathroom, a door a bit narrow, etc he would sue. A perfect example is a burger joint ā€œThe Squeeze Inā€ for the obvious reason in old town that could not comply so they put a button outside and would come out and service the handicapped. They were forced to close their over 30 year original location. Most small businesses under the threat of a lawsuit they couldn’t afford settled out of court. It took years and several attempts before a bill was finally passed giving them X amount of time to comply IIRC. …. impossible for some in the old town areas as per the example.

I believe it's under the live settings as APKill. You'll have to keep it plugged in full time for it to work.
About 2 months ago I had to change my tire size and could not find how to disable this feature. I looked everywhere and everyone said you could do it anymore. I'm glad someone found a fix
