2nd Asfir. Great skids, light. Super fast shipping a tthe price is great. Reach out to themCan someone suggest a not $800 oil pan skid plate for a 23 rubicon 4dr
one that covers the transmission cooling lines also.
We dented our oil pan, right at the drain plug, on Holcomb creek. Fortunately it wasn't enough to cause a leak, but a replacement oil pan for the 2.0t was $400 and there were no aftermarket options at the time. The asfir skid wasn't cheap, but I effectively bought it twice because I waited until after the damage was done. When we bought the new XR in September, I ordered the full metal cloak system. Prevention is cheaper than repairs. You asked about a "not $800" option, people directed you toward one half that price, and still not enough? Nobody is giving parts away if that's what you're looking for.https://www.asfir.com/engine-gear-skid-plate-547460c.html
For $335 before shipping.
$436 after shipping.
yeah, i'm going to pass on that.
totally understand. I also think that doing exactly that is an extreme rarity. We dented our oil pan, right at the drain plug, on Holcomb creek. i'll take a look. personally I don't see the need to spend a ton on this. the differential is firstHow about Next Venture skids or maybe Metal Cloak then?
Then why are you asking about oil pan if you’re wanting to replace your diff cover or skid first?i'll take a look. personally I don't see the need to spend a ton on this. the differential is first
because I'd like to do bothThen why are you asking about oil pan if you’re wanting to replace your diff cover or skid first?
You asked for less than $800. What you really meant was less than what?https://www.asfir.com/engine-gear-skid-plate-547460c.html

The only way that isn't worth it to you is if you have years of metal fab, a CNC machine, a bunch time test fitting and back and forth. You won't find a cheaper alternative on the market.
Diff covers are expensive as well. Basically if it protects a Jeep, it's spendy.
You'll pay $300 for diff skid plates to protect already pretty beefy diffs but $400 to protect a thin oil pan breaks the bank?I don't agree. you can get diff skid plates for 150 or less each.
I do have a welder friend with a waterjet machine. so there is that. But time of course to do it is the question. mostly it's a flat piece. so just maybe...
