I searched a bit, but curious as to what everyone is using. We have a new 2024 GC 4xe and my go to is typically a FRAM Ultra or Endurance. If anyone is using one of those is it the 10060?

For our 2.0L I've just been using the STP filters from AutoZone...

S10060XL or S10060? Looks like your oil holds up pretty well. What are you using?

The Mopars 339's are commonly available at O'Reilly's, at least near me. They can be had <$6/each on Rock Auto. I bought a few of them to keep around.

In a pinch, I'd use a Wix 57060.

In a double pinch, ACDelco lists the PF48 as compatible. I use AcDelcos on my GM products and if it's good enough for them...

I don't get crazy on filters as I change oil usually at 5k or just under 1 year.

Edit: Ditto on Pennzoil plat 5w30.
They have a warranty program where if you consistently change using their Pennzoil platinum products, they warranty the engine (additional) for so many miles against major failure.
https://www.pennzoil.com/en_us/warranty.html

I enrolled...not that I expect anything, but if I keep using it, this little bit of coverage should be there for the engine as well!

The oil would be the next thing to look at so thanks for sharing. I am curious how the 2.0T does on fuel dilution and Blackstone does not measure it accurately, but the viscosity looks good.

Minutiae, but ever cut one open to see how it holds up (the Mopar)?

No, I figured they're probably made to a decent OE spec since they are sold as original service parts. Are they junk? But I've also haven't gone long distance on one. Changed at 980, 2004, 4529 miles and the rig currently has 5100 miles.

I wouldn't say they were junk, but my guess is they're made by Mann+Hummel who also makes Purolator and they had a huge run of torn media in spin on filters at fairly low mileage.

I'll probably grab one of the Mopar and FRAM to cut them open and compare the construction.

The STP XL is basically the same as a Fram XG, also similar to the Champ/Luber-Finer XL. All are 99% efficiency @ 20 micron. I run these filters in everything of mine and consider them among the best on the market.

If running Pennzoil in a turbo engines, I'd personally opt for the Ultra Platinum version.
