I know there's a ton of questions and answers about this but I have used Pennzoil ultra Platinum for the life of my car I've changed the oil religiously and it's 60,000 miles I need a new engine due to oil consumption issues. Everything I look up about Pennzoil ultra Platinum seems like it's amazing but again and is your replacement at 60,000 any suggestions? Thank you in advance

Which engine and how do you know it has to be replaced and not fixed?

Are you burning oil? Leaking oil?

But you said oil consumption. Just going through PCV? Through rings? How was it being consumed ?You also said never low. Was that oil or coolant you refered to?
That’s what I think part of my problem was. PCV. Caused the rear main seal and upper oil pan to start leaking and that’s the clue for my case. I’ll be changing that PCV out when these new heads go on, of course.

if you watch lake speed jrs videos on YouTube, he says wore rings can be a result of poor quality gas. as in no detergent. carbon builds behind rings and pushes them out against cylinder and wears the rings out and causes oil consumption.
as I understood it anyway.

if I understood it wrong , Im sure someone will speak up.
