Offset license plate mount for the front bumper?

Im looking to install a winch on my 21 4xe, but need a way to mount my front license plate as Im in a state that requires it.

Ive seen the flip up mounts and the ones that mount below the fairlead, but is anyone using an offset mount that goes to the left or right of the fairlead? I just have the stock steel bumper.

Here's something similar, the license plate bracket is more up and out of the way. I used an angle iron and mounted it to the underside of the bumper.

I went 'ghetto free' mount as the plate holes (at least the NJ ones) line up with the skid plate holes.

Haven't gotten shit yet for the placement from any law enforcement.

By "a state that requires it" do you mean one that actually gives a damn? I haven't had a front plate on any of my vehicles in Colorado for nearly two decades, have had "discussions" with many police officers, and none have ever mentioned it.
