OEM Shock Leak

Lucky you got to the 20K mile mark. Both left shock are leaking on my 2022 JLRU. The heck of it is the Lube Tech is blind (or didn’t look) because at 14K for my Jeep Wave oil change, they flagged everything as a “green light” or no problems on the multi-point vehicle inspection. Sad. I always consider the inspection more as a way to sell services than to inform the customer of a potential or upcoming problem. Sadly the manufacturer requires these inspections and my guess now is the service writer just marks them all green without looking, especially on lower mileage vehicles.

I have a ‘2021 and replaced mine early on as well. I replaced them with Fox 2.0s and are easily replaced. You’ll need (2)18mm wrenches or ratchets or combo of both. Just be sure NOT to cut the strap before installing the new shocks. Otherwise it’ll be a bitch to line up the holes with the shocks extended. I went with Shock Surplus out of Irwindale, CA. They ship free.

Glad to hear it! Now replace them with aftermarket and sell them while they're still worth something; I sold my warranty replacements at ~100 miles.

We will see. Not sure how long ill
Have it. Maybe another two years. So not sure if it’s worth the upgrade at this point
