Yes, it's a 2021 Rubicon.
So when you say you don't have that setup, what do you mean? You have keyless with a factory alarm, correct? When you lock the Jeep, wait 15 seconds, reach in and open the door from the inside, does the horn honk? Do you have a flashing red LED on you left gauge when you lock the doors?

By "set up" I mean the buttons above your rear view mirror where you hid the sensor.

Oh! Yeah, should work if you have the factory alarm. Those buttons are for the 8.4 Uconnect and you don't need them for the alarm. Sorry, I misunderstood.

Are the little speaker looking things the sensors?

BENNY?
Would it be possible for you to see if this is available in a kit form under one part number?
If not can you supply the part numbers that the OP has listed?
Thank you in advance and appreciate your help

It is well known that Jeep doesn't turn on the hood pin switch for the alarm from the factory. Well, there is more, I came across a thread in the Trackhawk forums discussing an ultrasonic/tilt sensor module. It only came on export Grand Cherokees around 2018. It has 2 ultrasonic units and a gyroscope. It plugs into the CAN bus and triggers the alarm if someone or something goes in your Jeep or you try to jack it up. I find this highly desirable seeing as I have my doors and top off frequently and I am rarely out of ear-shot of it. Why this doesn't come from the factory on a Wrangler is beyond me.

Poking around in Jscan I see options for ITM module and ITM as one of the modes in the VTA settings. I figured I would spend the money and attempt to make it work. I can just sell the stuff if it doesn't work. IT WORKS!!!

Parts Needed:

ITM Module - 68329822AA
Can be bought on eBay and sometimes included in 5XU941X9AC

[1] ITM module connector 2272431-3 (Mouser)
[5] ITM module terminals 1393366-1 (Mouser) sold in 100/pack, just 1 pack needed
[1] Canbus connector 5-2138650-1 (Mouser)
[2] Canbus terminals 5-963715-1 (Mouser) sold in 100/pack, just 1 pack needed
Wire bundle with 4 wires.

Procedure:

The ITM modules needs power all the time, grab it where you can. I converted my dash power port to be on all the time for a dash cam and GPS tracker, so I wired it to that. Then it needs CAN high and CAN low which you tap into the white STAR connector behind the glove box. Make a harness with the connectors and wires you bought. See attached PDFs for the pinouts.

The length of the harness depends on where you put the module. The stock location in the Grand Cherokee is up on the map light console, so that's where I put mine. I modified the housing by cutting the mounting holes off. That gives you the needed room to mount the module on top of the assist button module with 3M VHB.

Now you need to drill 2 holes for the microphones. I don't know what size I drilled them, but I sized it up with a bit so they would pop into the holes and have a snug fit.

Programming:

Open Jscan and turn on the ITM module. Go into the body module settings and search for ITM. Make sure you turn on ultrasonic and tilt. Go into VTA settings and change it from VTA to ITM. Then soft reset all controllers. I had trouble when I first installed it because it had the donor car VIN in the module and was throwing codes because of it. It wouldn't pick up my VIN and work until I soft reset the controllers.

That should be it.

Testing it is simple. Lock door and wait 15 seconds. Stick your arm in and wave it around, the horn will honk. Get a floor jack out and try to lift a side, the alarm will go off.

If you want to bypass the ITM module temporarily because you are leaving a living thing in your car (pet), hit the lock button 4 times in 15 seconds. The alarm will set with the doors and hood, but not the ITM module.

ENJOY!

Thank you for posting this! Did you end up buying just the module 68329822AA for roughly $230 or did you get the entire overhead console? I have been looking for a used one and they are hard to find

I think I got the last one! That’s what I paid.

I got the harness built today just waiting on the module now.

I have looked at just about every charger, durango, 300, grand cherokee and so on.....
It looks like you have enough parts to build a few more harness`s, interested is selling one?

Let me make sure mine works first, then we can discuss.

Greg, if only carmakers were more like you...

Why don't you take a loan for a few $B and rescue the Jeep brand from its misery? That's how Private Equity works, right? haha

Well after looking for hours I believe that I had found one. I quickly found out that just because it has the holes for the microphones does not mean that it has the module attached. It is surprising just how many FCA Stellantis vehicles use the same overhead light! So I can not wait to hear about how yours is going/working for you. Worst case scenario for me would be that I have to buy a new module and plead with you to make me a wire harness. You can tell by the other comment that people realize that you take pride in your work.
