Went to program tire size today with JSCAN and my OBDLink MX+. Not matter what I do it will not stay connected to my phone for more than 5-10 seconds then it drops off. I tried with engine running, not running, every which way. I did update the firmware too but it made no difference. I've tried pairing/repairing/forgetting, waiting to let the OBDLink app find it and pair that way, no joy no matter what I do.

Finally got out my iPad and it connected fine to that and stayed connected as expected. I loaded JSCAN on my iPad and was able to change tire size from it.

Anyone else having issues with the OBDLink MX+ and iPhone 14s? If there's no fix and it's just not compatible I need to find an alternate ODBII dongle that will work reliably.

THanks!

Weird. Works flawlessly with my iPhone 15 Pro.

Any chance a different BT device is stealing the connection? The UConnect, AirPods, etc?

I think you are right. I noticed my phone was connecting to a bluetooth speaker in my garage too. Once I disabled that it seems to be solid now. I was able to bring the MXLink app and see the gauges, etc and played with it for 5-10 minutes with no problems.

Glad it’s working. I believe there was a firmware update on the mfg website

https://www.scantool.net/downloads/updates/obdlink_mxp/
I was able to update the firmware when it was having issues, but that didn't help my connection problems. I did disconnect my wireless CarPlay adapter, which I figured might interfere being so close. Who knew a speaker in the garage was apparently the culprit?

Anyway in the future I'll be more careful about checking to see what else is on the BT connection. Not like I'm in JSCAN every day making changes anyway but needed to update my tire diameter for some new meats today and was annoyed that it wasn't working.
