Jeep Wrangler JL NVX 500 battery isolator 20190221_115933

Just wanted to share my battery isolator for anyone else who might want to be able to turn on & off the power to the Winch. NVX BIR500 is a 500 amp solenoid. I have mine wired onto the AUX 4 switch. On current is supposed to be <1amp, Well with in the 15amp limit of the AUX switch. Allows me to have some peace of mind that I didnt accidentally leave the winch powered on or that random passerbys or my children werent monkeying around with the switch leaving me with a dead battery the next day...
Install is pretty basic... Positive In from battery, Positive Out to winch, Ground and positive trigger(aux switch). Space is at a premium under the hood, but there is just enough room on the passenger side of battery(in my 2.0t). I removed the battery to give room for drilling holes for the mounting screws. There is a plastic conduit full of vehicle wires directly below the NVX, leaving just enough room for everything to fit. The AUX wires are also right here. Use the shortest possible screws you can find. A right angle drill will help immensely.

I just received my NVX 500 in the mail. Just to be sure, which aux switch wire is that in the photo? It looks like it's solid red?

My guess is the red wire is simply attached to the OEM auxiliary wire since it is not very long. Here are some details on the wire color and to which auxiliary switch it is connected:

I've had the wiring diagram image on my phone. Only it seems someone cropped off the original posters watermark. I just wanted to be 100% sure as there's no red wire under the hood. I'm hoping to use the number 4, blue and pink wire. I've already tied up my 2 & 3.

I have no solid red wire under the hood of my Rubicon for the auxiliary switches--only the colors you have in the image that you posted.

Nice, but I would add a fuse before the solenoid. I've had a winch melt down and you do not want direct battery power in such a situation.

Something like the below which is available up to 400A as close to the battery as possible. If you are under 300A you can go with a terminal mounted fuse which is even better (shorter unfused run).
