Misinformation indeed. And while I'm not suggesting consumers avoid registering their products, US law generally forbids a manufacturer from requiring it in order to honor their own warranty.

I am well aware of the law.... Daaaah..

Next time you quote somebody on the forum, you might want to refrain from intentionally snipping their quote in a way that benefits your point lets say and muddy's the other guy's point.

I said and one of the main reasons I mentioned it is best to register a product is " IF the product were to be a counterfeit or not from a licensed reseller of the product, or not going to be covered, etc., you will find out on day one when you try to register said product.... and you can then return that counterfeit, etc., product."

I didn't get that impression, but sure, why not.

Please continue inappropriately laughing and saying "daaaah" at everyone having a legitimate conversation or shilling for whatever company you're "testing" for or would like to get free products, commissions or discounts from this week. And I'm honestly not knocking the latter, but you obviously get quite upset when someone here has *any* problem with certain brands, no matter how small (even well-intentioned constructive criticism), but have no problem knocking other brands you no longer favor.

Again, you do you, that's cool with me, but it really makes me want to instinctively avoid buying any 'fantastic offerings' from any company that you recommend here (or the ones you're unusually protective of) because of your dismissive behavior towards others here. Otherwise, I usually find your posts interesting and helpful, no matter what the motive may be.

Unrelated, I learned (the hard way) that a trickle charger (1-2 amps) is bad for an AGM battery. 10a, minimum. Got that info directly from Enersys (makers of Odyssey and Northstar). There’s a thread on battery talk… long story short, I ruined a Northstar battery. They warrantied it, anyway. Great company.

Anyway, since you have to buy a new one I wouldn’t go smaller than the Noco-10.
Did they explain why a low (1-2) amp trickle charger can damage an auto battery?

Great News! NOCO just verified my battery charger was purchased new and has now offered to accept it under warranty for a refund. As part of the deal, NOCO required me to first purchase another battery charger directly from the NOCO website before NOCO would provide the RMA to send in the dead charger for inspection and refund. I guess it’s a win-win; I get a new charger and a refund; NOCO retains me as a customer. ?‍♂
