So, need some help from the community please. Dealer baffled...not much of a surprise there. So, this has happened 5 times now over about 4 weeks. Has happened in both dry and wet conditions, shortly after a start and well into a drive, both at low speed / idle and a full interstate speed. I get a Service Throttle Position Sensor warning, the TPS light comes on, the engine light comes on, the coolant temperature reading drops to zero, and the electric radiator fan turns on all at exactly the same time. I also loose substantial throttle control...still drivable, but probably only 25% throttle control. I stop, turn off the vehicle, wait a few seconds, turn it back on, and everything is back to normal, except my engine light stays on for a few engine start cycles then turns off. Codes for engine temp but not TPS are stored. Dealer has no idea why it is doing this. They flashed my computer...tested all the sensors...drove it and couldn't reproduce the error. Got it home and two-days later it did it again. Thoughts? 2020 JLURD.

@JeepCares so, looks like a little factory OEM help might be needed. Dealership baffled.

2020 JLURD.

Randomly all below happens simultaneously.

1. Message to service throttle position sensor appears.
2. Throttle Position Sensor warning light comes on.
3. Engine light comes on.
4. Coolant temp reading on main gauge goes to zero.
5. Coolant temp reading on off-road pages goes to max.
6. Electric fan comes on.
7. I lose substantial throttle control. Still drivable but way way under power.

All of it (except the engine light) resets and goes back to normal when I turn the engine off and back on. Temp reading instantly return to normal when turned back on.

Has happened as frequently as 3 times in 15 minutes, but will also go days between occurrence.

Dealer has no idea.

Could use some expertise.

Thanks.

I had some of your symptoms, one dealer totally stumped. Went to a second dealer, known to be top notch. Diagnosed, corrected in a short morning. Intermittent coolant temperature sensor issue. When replaced, no problems. Maybe you need a better dealer.
