Just wanted to put a quick plug in here for Dennis Dillon. Had a great buying experience and road trip from Boise to So.Cal! Couldn't be happier with the deal and my new Rubicon!

In a couple weeks I will be doing my JLUR pickup ride. In your opinion, based upon your experience, what would you suggest bring with me, place to stay overnight, things to do there, or anything else to share.

Got any connections in NJ?...These dealers are seriously pissing me off. Not one will give me the deal I want, not 1 will go 10% below MSRP.

I'm about to fly to Idaho or NC
Ocean blue Sport s 4dr
tan interior
Premium soft top
anti slip rear
tech grp
convenience grp
side steps

They either try to rob me on my trade, rob me on the MF(looking for a lease) or rob me with fees, making any discount a wash.

I know one in Chester County PA that will. I have been working with them for a few months and finally pulled the trigger on Wednesday 6/20. If you have an interest I can pass along the info. Cant be more than 2 hours from you.

I do not, however I will say the Dennis Dillon no-hassle, no-haggle was a really enjoyable process.

My checklist was:
Their original signed build sheet (When I placed the order) with the agreed price (just in case)
Copy of current insurance card
Checkbook
Driver liscense

I flew in with my wife and two kids to Boise landing about 11AM and Dan from Dennis Dillon was nice enough to pick us up in a Pacifica and take us to the dealer. Once we arrived it did take a bit, they have one finance manager and there were multiple customers so we were at the dealer for about two hours. While we waited Dan went over the car features/test drive/ etc. Once we wrapped up the paperwork we grabbed a bite at Freddys Frozen Custard and Steakburgers down the street.......if you don't have one near you or know what it is I'd recommend checking it out! We went to downtown Boise for some ice cream and then headed out of town......

My original plan up until the night before was to drive straight through to Vegas down the 93 , but as the trip grew closer and I did more research I realized that a two lane road for 10 hours straight after a flight and car purchase was going to be ..... unpleasant....... with the wife and two young kids. So I decided instead to take the 84 to Salt Lake City.......there was road construction and a couple accidents that slowed us down but it was about 5 1/2 hours from Boise to Salt Lake City. The next morning we decided to stop at Zion National Park on the way to Vegas, so we left around 10AM from Salt Lake and arrived about 1:30 in Zion, we spent a few hours driving through the park and hiking and then back tracked to the 15 and headed out to Vegas. We arrived in Vegas about 7:45 that night. We stayed in Vegas for a day and then did the final 4 hour drive home.

In hindsight I probably wouldn't do it any other way. The drive straight through to vegas would have been frustrating with trying to overtake slow cars on a two lane road at night. Gong through Salt Lake broke up the trip and set us up great to check out Zion (now we want to go back and camp). It is definitely quite a bit of driving so my main recommendation is if you have the time, break up the drive and find some fun stuff along the way!

Great tips! I’ll be planning my trip soon hopefully. I may do the same stops.

Is there any chance Dennis Dillon is able to hook buyers up with take-off parts? Say wheels from a Rubicon when purchasing a Sport S?
