New Rubicon Express 2" Budget Boost

Does anyone know if with your boost if you need a steering stabilizer?

Negative! Has nothing to do with it. I only replaced mine because I crushed the Mopar one.

This is actually the first steering stabalizer I've ever bought. But, I've always run 12.5 or less tire widths.

On the last jk we put a lift into, we put a full suspension lift (procomp, yes it sucked) we had to end up running dual steering stabilizers and had to replace them a couple of times. On my very first JK I ran a BB for a little bit and could not remember if the stabilizer had to be replaced with them or not. Just got done ordering the RC 2.5" boost, was really on the fence, but on a budget, and it was half the cost of the Rubicon Express, if its not great, well I figure it's only 179.95.

Got a email from quadratec this morning. The rubicon express lift is on back order, now I play the waiting game.

Picked mine up today at 4WP while dropping off TJ. Ordered new wheels and 37” Toyo RT’s. Going to be busy!

Yea, I didn't notice any change in acceleration, the JL with the 8 speed has plenty of power. The ride is exactly the same as stock which is what I was looking for.

This is the same kit with 37's from their FB page. I'm going to run 35's because I'm going to be doing a lot of cross country traveling with my tear drop.

I got the C rated 315/70's that are made for the Ford Raptor and love them. Same rating as stock. $257 a tire and $399 for the kit.

Ok, installed the Rubicon Express 2” spacer lift in about 6 hours by myself. The instructions don’t tell you have to disconnect more items on the front and rear axle to get enough droop in the axle to get the springs out but it was not that bad. It is a well made kit. The shock relocation brackets are definitely beefed than the RC. Looks like 1/8 to 3/16 “. Not exactly sure why the did not send longer front links instead of a small spacer. The front passenger side bumpstop is a pain to get the bolt started since you can’t get your hand under the perch. The rear threaded washers in the rear perches are odd the way they make them. If you don’t run the mounting both in and out of the threads before you install it (paint in threads) you may never get it to tighten up. Other than those quirks, a quality kit. It does not, however take the rake out. Just raise everything 2”. Should be no problem stuffing 37’s under a JLUR
