I got a 2.5" spacer lift kit for Christmas for my 20 JLU sport. It's a KSP suspension lift kit. It's merely a stop gap until it's paid off at which point I'll be going to the full 3.5-4" lift with 37's. I've got an older 5 ton jack from my FIL who used to do maintenance on district plow trucks, stands, impact tools and if necessary pneumatic tools(My FIL retired to AZ and left me a mechanics gold mine) so equipment is not an issue. I consider myself to be somewhat mechanically inclined but if anybody has any tips that helped them I'd greatly appreciate it.

1. Find a YouTube video of someone installing it.
2. Watch that video a few times
3. Research and document the correct torque for all of the bolts you'll need to remove for the kit
4. Take your time and have a buddy to help if you can.

90% of wrenching on your own vehicle is just taking things apart and then putting them back together. Super easy if you keep your head and take it slow.

Be mindful of the wheel speed sensors and brake lines, I had the wheel speed sensor on the passengers rear loop over the sway bar and when I lowered the axle it yanked it hard enough it need replaced.

With the help of my brother, I installed my spacer lift in a day. That was with hand-wrenching and zero prior experience with suspension. Now equipped with an impact wrench, I'm confident I could do it in a quarter of the time. It's a great learning experience

I'd recommend the tallest jacks and jack stands you have available. I ended up using 2 x 4's to increase the height on my jack stands. I also recommend extreme terrain's video on the RC 2.5" spacer kit -

Good info on torque specs & relatively easy to follow.
