New push alerts

Anyone know why I am suddenly getting these “new story” alerts? I’ve gone through my settings and can’t see a way to turn them off.
BTW, I tried to post about this in the “site news feedback questions” forum, but the button to post a new thread is not there for me.

Look at your preferences. Not sure how this changed but everything was checked on mine.

Yeah, click on your profile pic at the top and then Preferences. Go through and uncheck stuff you don't want to get an alert for.

I don't know where this belongs, so I'll just ask here. Up until last week, I only got alerts for threads I was following. Now I get all sorts of alerts about new topics and stuff I don't care about. What happened and how do I fix this? I didn't change any of my settings prior to this. Thanks. Go Bills

Should be able to click on your account. Go to preferences. Uncheck boxes you don’t want. Happened to me as well

Can someone please tell me how to turn off alerts for new stories that I have not subscribed to? This is something that has just recently started and I do not like it. Thanks in advance.
