2022 Wrangler Rubicon.
Hi to all.

A new member here from the UK.

Had my 2022 4 door Rubicon for 7 weeks now, already had a few modifications albeit quite simple ones.. these being f&r steel bumpers, Warn wheels and 35" tyres and a 2.5 inch lift kit, new suspension. Nor sure if any more will be done but never say never !

First test drove a modified one around 3 or 4 yrs ago and loved it, such a change from my usual style of vehicle )low and fast). At the time I had a highly modified Renault Clio V6 and planned buying a Jeep to run alongside it....best laid plans etc, sold the Clio and bought an Aston Martin V12S instead. A wonderful car and did 12000 miles in it in 18 months but the itch for a Wrangler never went away...now the itch has been scratched.

Will do a great deal of reading here and no doubt the odd silly question might arise ?

Anyhow, pics..

Welcome to the Forum and Jeep ownership!

I can just imagine what that beast cost along with the VAT!

Lived in England for 3 years while in the USAF and had a set of Twins with Dual National status.

Hey I'm old now, just turned 70 and have always had the view that if fortunate enough to be able to do so then buy what I want :)

Much easier to get in and out of than the Aston !

UK? You must be rich! Any chance you want to adopt a 36-year-old ginger? :CWL:

Great color choice!!!

I went to London this past June for my 2-year anniversary, noticed there was no Wranglers around. I saw a single white two-door JK in Bath. Lots of fancy defenders and Land rovers and Porsches and Rolls-Royces and Mercedes over by the palace, but no Wranglers. Shoot, someone even had a Mustang GT500 I saw parked next to a Ferrari in some dudes driveway, but no Wranglers.

I did a little research and found out that Wranglers are imports in the UK and are tax to shit to the point where only the rich can afford them.

I’m very late 60’s myself. Seriously thought about a Corvette, but didn’t want to learn to tumble out of it to get out or in! LOL! My stock Willys is fine for both the Wife and I and I’ll get a slightly wider/taller tire once I get enough miles on the Mud Terrains it has on it.

Wish I had one or two of the cars I had back in the 70’s while in England, either the Jaguar MKII or the Mini Cooper would do fine. Had a lot of fun back then.

"Rich' can be subjective.

I think list for a new one here is around £63000 although 10% discount is readily available.

I think I did quite well with this one, 18 months old and only done 2200 miles, got it from a Main Dealer for £47250.

It'll be my daily drive and have just done 3 days up in Scotland in it.

1400 miles in 3 days and very impressed with it.

Nice Jeep Brian, and welcome! You're off to a great start. I typically don't like black wheels (I'm the odd man out for sure) - but those Warn wheels are really nice. Also love that rear bumper (who makes that?). Make sure you get him out on the trail... someone needs to be able to rescue those fancy Range Rovers from the mud puddles. Welcome aboard.

If I'm not mistaken it's a Rugged Ridge one (will check the invoice)
