Just take your time. Here's what mine looked like with the gaskets. Also, check YouTube for grill and headlight removal videos.

Thank you! Hope you don't mind if I message you if I run into any issues when I install next weekend?

Well I just opened my box....Little bit upset as they look like 7" lights with a attachment. Guess I did not look at the photos close enough.

I bought the Quake LED RGB Halo headlights. I don't understand what the problem is with them being converted 7" lights. Making them a little larger won't change how well they perform, they would still use the same LEDS. The light is solidly mounted in the cast metal bracket and the gap filler looks more like a design feature.

Main issue is that they are advertised as 9" lights when they are clearly not. Also I did not see anywhere in the description about it. However if I would had looked at the photos closer I would have seen the bracket. I am not going to return them. I will install them as soon as my light mounts arrive for the front so I can do it all at the same time while the grill is off.

Just ask @cosine he knows!
For comparison, here's a shot of the Quake bracket from a similar view.

Can you adjust that bracket for height angles? Looks nice FWIW!

Good point about adjust ability or lack of, I noticed the other bracket seemed to accommodate adjustment. I''m not impressed with the included Quake headlight adjustment facilitating disks.

As long as you can get them adjusted to the point where other drivers won't go off on you it's all good :)

I'm hopping it doesn't take too much fiddling to get them dialed in.

Take a look at the Quake. They have a 9" they just released. Mine is still in a box since I have not had time to install so this is in no way a recommendation for them. I will say their customer service was top notch.
Dont look at Quake, for the price they are not Good, LED i have them wish i did not. They don't have great dip beam covarge, and i have ajusted them for 33'35'and 37 inch tires still they same they leave a dark area in front of the bumper the main beam is no better stay aware and buyer beware ! I an currebtly looking for replacements.

I'd have to agree with @punknking. These don't look TOO bad, but I don't understand why everyone is so hyped to retrofit 7in headlights when the JL comes stock with 9in. Sure LEDs are brighter than the halogens but I'm waiting for someone to make a true 9in replacement and not just an adaptor for their existing 7in. When installed the gaps between the light and grille look terrible to me.
I emailed JW Speaker and they indicated they would be releasing something in about a 6-12 mo. time frame- this was in June ā€˜18, so still waiting patiently :
Hi Britton,

As of today we do not have anything in the works. I know it has been discussed but that is all. If I had to guess I would say maybe 6-12 months.

Thank you

Checked back with them again in October ā€˜18 and no updates on an official release date. Hopefully soon but probably not going to hold my breath!!

I didn’t realize my JL headlights are 9ā€ and that my old JK was 7ā€. I had upgraded my JK to the Quadratec LED’s and they were much better than the factory lights. JK factory headlights were so bad I couldn’t tell they were on. The new JL Factory LED’s are awesome. They are so bright, I have people flash me because they think my high beams are on.
