I found these new latches from this brand called Maiker. Could be wrong, but I haven't ever seen anything like these particular style. Kinda reminiscent of the old CJ style, but more modern.

But Maiker seems a little proud of their stuff.

$129 a bit much to pay for a pair of hood latches, even with the Just Empty Every Pocket principle.

good latches can get pricey. Been looking for some for a friend that has a JKU and to get a good pair is almost $100. She currently has a less expensive pair made overseas and they are horrible. Countless times she has been driving and one of the latches pops open.

I like the hood latches, but not for me because I needed locking hood latches.

I see logos and it's an immediate no.
And as if the logo wasn't bad enough, they put some random MIL STD number on the latch to try and make it look "tacticool." Interestingly, that MIL STD has nothing to do with Jeeps, hood latches, or vehicles in general. As listed in the U.S. Archives, MIL-STD-105E is for "Sampling procedures and tables for inspection by attributes."

Got insomnia? Feel free to read the complete verbage at:

Sweet dreams!
