New hardtop install question

Hi new to the jeep world and forum. Just installed an oem hardtop on my 2 door and when i run my hand across the white interior my hand is full of white chips? Not sure if this is because its new or just normal? Sorry if its a noob question. Appreciate the input

Maybe share a picture or two to help us visualize

They are not finished to a high level inside. You can see the chopped fiberglass mixed in with the composite. It's not perfectly smooth or evenly textured either. But there shouldn't be much, if any, residue inside.
