Ok, so, picked up a brand new @Bestop Trektop NX slant back for my 4 door for a song. Now I know it's not everyone's glass of beer, but I like it, so keep the opinion pieces to yourself! Haha! I am aware of the controversy!

Anyway, question, I got it all installed, pretty seamless, took my time watched the videos and it all went smoothly, only I issue I came across, and hence my question, on the removable side windows with the hard corners, the window stiffeners (The official name) have a hook on the top that is supposed to clip into support bar #5 for the life of me I could not get them to sit right, see attached pics, everything else lined up and locked in perfect. I'm thinking maybe once the top stretches a bit in the sun I may be able to make the sit. Anyone else experience this on initial install? Another thought I had since they are just held on by 3 small bolts, are they even needed? Anyone just straight up remove them? TIA!

I think you have it misaligned a little bit, or it's overstretched. I remember having the same problem one time when I fully dropped the top and put it back up. Try starting over getting it into place, lining up the windows and see what needs to be tweaked.

Mine's always been like that. I just make all the other connections Etc and move on. It's never been an issue. That said, I may be missing something.

They'll break off soon enough and you won't have to worry about it :CWL:

I preemptively took them off yesterday, I could definitely see them breaking off and leaving some nice sharp edges. Let it stretch for the summer and see if they fit latter one. They definitely seemed a little overkill.
