At my local rural tire shop and of course they can’t keep SST’s in stock. But he pulled this new Rugged Trek outta nowhere. Hmmmm.

Looks nice but there’s not many available sizes at the moment. Also the softest load range available starts at E and goes up from there. My back hurts just thinking about these tires.

Just ask @cosine he knows!
Would be a good choice if you want a 285/70/17, look to be quite similar to the Mickey Thompson ATs, and a good tread depth at that size. Look to have plenty of siping so should be good in the wet & the cold. How's the pricing on them??
If they had the size I wanted I'd rock 'em!

I just saw these on the Cooper site myself. Came here to see if anyone had tried them yet. If they had a C range I’d be a guinea pig.

Looks good, I like the tread patterns too, despite being only a M+S

Too bad it doesn’t come in any sizes people actually want. Which is a shame for a rugged tire like this, seems like the marketing department didn’t do their job.

Being a new release hopefully more sizes are coming in the near future. I've seen quite a few tires come out initially w/ limited sizing and add quite a few more sizes as time goes on.

looks like a good combination design. My only vinegar is that it is going to be a rock thrower.

Looks pretty good. Not surprising it looks like a Mickey Thompson. If I remember correctly Cooper makes those as well.

Cooper owns Mickey Thompson & Dick Cepek brands, not sure if those brands are made in their own facilities, but I think M/Ts are, and FWIW all those brands along w/ a few others are now owned by Goodyear. Hard to keep up w/ all that's going on lately.

Sipes to no where, it's not going to handle very well on wet pavement or ice. If the sipes extended all the way to the edges of the lugs it would be better.

True, this is probably a “MT-first” types of tire, where winter/wet performance just comes as an afterthought. Not to be competed against the likes of Duratracs. But if you live somewhere dry with some occasional snow, this seems like a good choice.

Very true, living in Washington I have no idea what that's like so it's always the first thing I look at.

Guy at the Cooper store said Cooper shut down their M/T line to make road and A/T tires. Had to catch up with demand. That’s halfway believable as it took me almost 2 weeks to find 5 35” KM3’s. Wonder if they’ll make more sizes once they catch up. Just made some of the more common sizes up front to “get the ball rolling” so to speak.
