I have not, but I'm putting wolf den run state park on the back burner. 👍

I'm going around this. 👇
Do you see that wide open lane to the left? That's where I'll be.

It seems like a lot of the east coast trails are mud based. I don't know if I'll ever get to see these new added trails. All in states super far away from me. 😕

I know right. Unfortunately, East coast trails are loaded with mud. A lot of people love it.
I love the blueridge mountains but I hate the mud.

Northwest OHV in Texas was basically just mud pits everywhere. Not really my thing. I'd rather do the more rock crawly stuff.

So we're now at 61 trails. I'm just under 30% of trails earned.

Anyone done any of these new trails and have any thoughts on them?

Sorry. I duped your post, not seeing it. I'm excited we finally have a trail in WA state!

I'm thinking of maybe doing a Oregon/Washington combo trip. What is the best time of year up there would you say? Summer?

It's a lot drier in the summer, although this week has been beautiful in the Tacoma/Seattle area.

There are several events in the Tillamook Forest (Oregon) in June and July. There are two BOH trails in Tillamook. I'm attending the Jeep Jamboree in June and the Jolly Jeepers Rally in July. Both will be fun. Now that we have a trail up here, I'll try to do it in the Spring.

Interesting. My goal is to live my best life around retirement with the Jeep. Cost all 49 states..(not shipping my Jeep the the islands. It would be a waste )

Hey, some fellow NOVA Jeepers and I did the trail last weekend, the YouTube videos do the trail no justice. I thought it was going to be very boring but it was quite fun. Not difficult at all but fun. There are a lot of optional routes which are labled "blue" and "black" but are not really. But at least there were some fun rocks on those optional routes. They are fun. Also there are a lot of hill climbs, I think 4. There are several larger puddles you cannot avoid. I see you are from VA, you may have done Flagpole before (Union Springs in Harrisonburg, VA)? It's like that, several water holes (mud) you can't avoid. Totally worth the drive for a fun day. Hopefully my badge will be in soon. All that said, of course the more fun and challenging badge trails are at Rausch Creek, AOAA, and at Windrock within driving distance of VA. Well Windrock was about a 10 hour drive for me.

Retired from Corrections....I have stories.

While I will wheel in the Mud..... It is unavoidable in Alaska and some of the east coast stuff like Windsock. Mud, I would prefer to avoid. I will drive around a mud hole if I can. One summer in Alaska, replaced the radiator that was completely full of mud, replaced all the idler pulleys, and a wheel bearing. Granted, my Jeeps has a lot of miles on it, but the mud gets everywhere.

Pro tip for mud. buy a cheap lawn sprinkler like this. I paid, I think like $6 at a Menards....Home Depot or where ever. I put it under the Jeep turn In the below the engine/transmission area and let it run for a few hours, then I move to the back to the Jeep and let it run back there. By far the easiest way to clean the underside of the Jeep.

Ha I wish I could but our current water restrictions don't really allow something like that. Any sprinkler type device can only be run for 10 minutes a day (currently restricted to Tuesdays and Saturdays). Also this rule:

"Vehicle Washing. The washing of commercial and noncommercial privately owned automobiles, trucks, trailers, motor homes, boats, buses, airplanes and other types of vehicles is restricted to use of a hand-held bucket and quick rinses using a hose with a positive shutoff nozzle"

That's why I usually avoid mud whenever I can because it's a huge pain to wash off.
