New BOH Trail - Hell's Half Acre

Anyone in the Idaho Falls area checked out this trail? I may have an opportunity to be in the area 3rd week of September but would want someone to run the trail with if I were to attempt it.

Damn, this place looks like it'll make for some sweet pictures from the red lava flows. Hero shot in TOR looks pretty sick.

Yeah looks like fun. I got invited to a thing happening in the exact town next to this trail so figured maybe I could do both.

Anyone familiar with the area know what this means for closures?

Looks like a cool place as well as Lost Trail out further west. I might be in the area around that time and regardless of tire sidewall danger it would still be worth checking out. Fire looks to be 100% contained now but like you said it'll be interesting to see what kind of closures/access restrictions are put in place and for how long. Maybe let it play out another week before calling the BLM office in Idaho Falls for more info.

I reached out to a local Offroad club and they said the fires have not affected the trail so looks like trip is still on. One of the members of the group has said they are interested in leading us on the trail since they know the area well.

Well trip imploded last night and at the moment is cancelled. I'm sure I'll eventually make it up there but it won't be next week.
