I am in the process of removing the stock bumper on my JL, and I need to disconnect the wiring harness for the fog lights, that are mounted in the bumper. I will be reusing these, so I do not want to just cut the wires. Unfortunately, I can't seem to figure out how to un plug this. Pulling it just doesn't work, and I am sure there is a release of some sort I just don't see. Any one know how to do this?

There's a clip (on the bottom left side of the connector in your photo) you have to push in, then the connector will pull right out. I don't think I needed to use a tool or anything to poke in the tab, but maybe a screwdriver would help

YESSSSSS. Thanks for the help. Now how about a hand lifting off the bumper?? Just kidding. This forum is fantastic, I learn something each time I come here.

Glad I could help! I'm still learning about these things myself, only got my first Wrangler a few weeks ago!

I just stepped out and snapped a better picture to show you (or future visitors to this thread) the clip in question. The part I'm touching with the pen is the clip you depress while you pull the fog light connector out from the right. Definitely should be doable with just your fingers, no tools.

That style plug is remarkably similar to the upfitter switches utilized on my previous 2018 RAM 4500 and current 2022 RAM 5500.
