Hey guys, doing a brake job on my 2021 - got the fronts done with little issue, the rotors took a little effort to get off but not too bad. These rears are COMPLETELY seized onto the hub. No, the parking brake isnt set, yes I took out the little retaining screw. Ive tried penetrating oil overnight. Ive tried a pry bar, Ive beaten on it with a mallet. These effer's absolutely will not break loose. Any suggestions? Im desperate.

Could try a rotor removal tool and see if that works?

Make sure you have it supported decently.

Heat and a metal BFH, skip the rubber mallet as you are not gonna reuse these now.

Did you put some slack on the parking brake, some time, even if not engaged you need to back it off from the adjustment screw.
No, but I can turn the axle by hand, so its not hanging up by friction. Its got to be rusted on there.

Some time they do lip. When you pull on it does it move than feel stuck ?
I did got a similar issue in the pass, I have beated, heated to no avail. when in pull back the adjuster, was springy, backed the adjuster more, than pulled even more and pulled one brake shoe getting the disk out.

Get an Oxy-acetylene torch and heat the hub area. Big steel hammer. Toss the rotors. Be prepared to spend a lot of time with a drill and wire cone brush cleaning and flattening the axle flange.

In realm of bad idea you can unbolt the shaft retaining bolt (if you have them and if they do not require a weld) and pull the full assembly

Here's the runout specs for when you put your dial indicator on the rotor with at least 3 lug nuts holding it down.

Darn, now I feel like the brake system is in fact a airplane 🥴
I don't know how many times I've done brakes and had runout issues. But often enough that I do what the guys in the video did. I also have a dial indicator or a few, leftover from my days as a machinist, to check. I haven't paid for a brake job in my life, that I can recall. But my wife did, and it was bad and pulsing. I ended up re-doing it. Darn few mechanics bother to do what's in that video. People put up with shitty brake jobs.

Your previous post was: tell me you're a machinist without telling me you're a machinist ;)
Never checked the tolerance on my brake, only thing I do is I make sure the pad can move freely. Maybe it is me buying cheap part but I always end up filing them so they can slide properly.

Next time I do my break I'll try to remember to watch your video. Will be a great occasion to break the dial indicator out.

Another option would be an air hammer. They are fairly inexpensive at Harbor freight if you have a good air compressor to run it.
