Hi everyone. My buddy has a 20 gladiator 3.6
And he had his water pump and belt replaced about a month ago all mopar parts !
These past few days he has been tellin me he’s hearing a squeaking noise when reving
Hot or cold. Told
Him to try a belt dressing. But didn’t go away.
he just stopped by and I had him rev I up and heard the pretty obvious squealing noise.
So I took a look from up top and noticed the belt is touching each other in the routing of serpentine belt ! I don’t think this is normal. Can it be a bad tensioner or a belt ? Making it come in contact ? Please look at the photo !
View is from top. Looking at the alternator pulley and belt and to the right a bit down is the belt routing from the idler pulley I believe !

I may be misinterpreting the photo, but I see the belt on the left and a roller on the right - where do you see the belt touching itself (this reads so weird!)?

i know it read wrong , looking from the top of the alternator pully, then looking further downward, there is the idler pulley to the right of the alternator ( drier side ) , the belt is touching each other , i know its one belt, , but something doesn't look right
