Please help me identify my shock absorber part numbers:
68509425AB
68509416AB

These are the numbers written on the shock absorber labels themselves. I tried looking for these but had no luck.

I wonder if the shocks are under a ‘kit’ part number and that’s the reason I can’t find them.

Those are the factory shocks. Part #s get updated on things like that all the time as changes get made so I doubt you'll find an exact match. They are pretty much garbage and I imagine for the same or less money you could get a much better shock.

Correct, and when the time comes I’m likely going to go with an aftermarket adjustable shock.

What I’m trying to figure out now is: are there countless part numbers for stock shocks just like springs which all depend on engine/bumpers/tow/etc. even within the same trim level or is there a small set of part numbers for the various trims like with axles?

I don't think there are different shocks for the different weights, simply updates here and there with new corresponding part #s.

A lot of times what you see on Chrysler parts is the last two letters changing from like AA to AB to identify the latest iteration of the part.
