Ok, I have a 2021 Rubicon 392 XR. I have the factory steel bumpers with a Warn VR Evo 10S winch installed. I have Rockslide Engineering steps. I have a Maximus XLP hoop on front bumper. I plan on keeping the stock wheels and tires for now.
I just received my Metalcloak 2.5" lift (not yet installed) and I have on order Metalcloaks full skid plates.
As I sit now, I only have about 1" of space between my front bumpstops. This is what led to ordering the lift. From the front to back, measuring to the top of my rockslides, the rear (just in front of the rear tire) is about 1.25" higher than the front (just behind the front tire).
I don't want to replace my driveshafts.
I am looking at FOX 2.0 IFP shocks. So my questions are this.
Are the FOX at 28.5" too long in the front for the stock drive shaft..?? Should I just play it safe with the 26.4"..?? I've read and hear 28"-29" max. So if 29" max is safe I'd go with the 28.5" shocks just for the extra travel at no additional cost... but if that's really pushing it, I'll go with the 26.5 to not have to worry about it.
Are the FOX at 29.6" extended ok in the rear..??
Also, are the MC front springs stiff enough to compensate for the weight on the front end to stay level? Or would I be better off installing spacers during the lift instal to keep it level front to back..??
