2022 Unlimited Rubicon (On Order)
After 7 months of waiting (I was told 3 max), I finally picked up my Jeep yesterday afternoon.

This forum helped me is several ways.

One, I knew nothing of Tread Lightly. By signing up in advance and getting my affiliate code, I saved 4k on the vehicle. This covered my TT&L. I'd say that was $100 well spent.

Two, reading stories of people getting things added on once at pick-up made me contact my dealer in advance to see if they planned on pulling any of that shady crap with me. I was told that if you ordered after April 1st, they automatically add some ceramic graphite coating for $695. Because I ordered before that, it was optional. When I went to pick-up, the coating was on the price listing. I informed the sales guy that I didn't want this and he wasn't even sure if I could refuse. He confirmed with his manager and it was removed. He wasn't all that excited about removing it as this takes money out of his pocket.

Three, price protection. I wasn't sure what would happen with the increase in price from order to window sticker. The order sheet I signed back in December said the price was subject to change based on manufacturer pricing. I wasn't sure what my position would be if they refused to honor the original price. MSRP had grown by around 4k. Based on info here, I pressed it and they honored the original price on top of the affiliate pricing. Win win for me.

I don't have much drive time on it but so far I'm loving it. They did have the 35's inflated to 50psi so that created some serious lane floating. This wasn't surprising as I read on here as well that others experienced the same overinflated tires.

Thanks for all the info and it's been great watching everyone take delivery. Now to other sections to start mods. My 5' wife needs step so that will be first.

Lawdy! You can see the 50 PSI just by looking at the tires in the pic. A good inch and a half around both edges isn't even dirty!

Seriously though, congrats on the absolutely sick XR! Good job being informed walking into that dealer as well, any dealer snubbed while trying to work unsuspecting customers over is a win in my book!
