Can you post a picture of the exhaust and how close it was to that area? Also 3.6 or 2.0?
Sorry I don't have a picture. The only thing I did was take the rear muffler off. Have only heard of one other person on here have the same issue as I did with the 3.6.

Had my muffler off. Sounds nice idling, but driving will get annoying. Gets really lound above 3k rpms, as if you are relly pushing it. To majority you will look like tool. Sound is not pleasant.

The wind noise generated by the Wrangler is too loud for me to listen to the radio at highway speeds; I wouldn't want to make it too loud for conversation too. One the other hand, I have a Kooks exhaust system on my GTO and listen to the LS2 rather than the radio in that vehicle.
