Does anyone know if the MP Concepts sequential turn signals require a JL set to LED? I bought a set of fenders with their turn signals to replace my Sport fenders with halogen lights. The instructions are. . . lacking. They do say the error will clear itself, but I’m wondering if that assumes LED to LED swap. It has been over a week and I still have the hyperflash error, including a notification my turn signals are out every time I turn it on.

You need to program your Jeep with either a Tazer or OBD JScan

Sorry, I meant to add to program the BCM to tell it that you have LED’s and not incandescents

Thanks, I was worried I was being impatient. I’ll change it over in the morning with the tazer.

Would you mind doing a little show and tell about these fenders? When you have time and get your lights sorted. With the Mopar kit on interstellar back order, the MP Concepts kit might be an option.

Thanks in advance if you do decide to write up anything.

I can almost do a full write up. I need to do a few more photos later this week or this weekend. As a preview, the kit comes without any hardware. I bought it hoping I could fully assemble it, add some clips, and then stick it on the Jeep. You still have to disassemble the old fenders to recover hardware. I'll try to do links/estimates for what you need from the old fenders so that someone can spend the extra few bucks if they want.
There are also no instructions, so it's discovery learning. I'll be missing a few photos but maybe someone else can fill them in once I get a post up.

@Steph1

Thanks for jumping in here.
The total package that is your JLU looks great.
Have you had a chance to compare the MC fenders to Mopars? They appear to be identical, but only someone that owns them could truly tell any differences.

They are identical, the XR fender extensions even confirmed that the holes are at the axact same place as oem. Biggest difference is the fender liners that need a bit of adjustment and who’s hole arent in line with oem.

I too went with them because I waited 9 months on backordred ones with my local dealer. They ended up costing a bit more than double what the Mopars would have cost me.

Thanks for that, @Steph1 . If I can get your and @Some Random Guy 's opinion of the lights., that would be helpful.
I have a set of Rubi high fenders on back order right now, been there for months. I saw the MP set at XT and was curious about them. I tried to get one of MP's Rubi aluminum knock off bumpers but it didn't survive shipping. I wasn't interested in a replacement.
My plan is to go right to a chop and that will delete the liners and lights, but if the lights are decent, I'll save them in case any of my club members has an oops.

Thanks again to both of you for your useful feedback.

The lights are fine. Obviously I wasn’t sure about the light setting needed to get hyperflash to clear itself. The instructions just said it would clear on its own after a few cycles.
The box is massive, to warn you. It is not heavy, but it’s big. I also got this stinger from XT. It was open box, but if that’s how they ship bumpers I can totally see how the aluminum one wouldn’t survive. My fenders also showed up scuffed, but I wanted plastic because they’ll get abused on the trail.

Thanks for continuing with the information!
You nailed exactly what I was trying to describe earlier regarding the chop/liners, but I think you knew that. I'm not so sure that a chop is necessary any longer. You and I are on a similar trajectory with our JLs. You are further along, but damn if I wont be cloning you. That photo above is like looking into a crystal ball for me. Even Falcon over Fox...
I think I'm sold on these fenders. They are more expensive than the Mopar equivalent, but I guess beggars can't be choosers.
Thanks again!

@Steph1 I would still like to hear your opinion of the lights.

Thanks

Yeah, I’m not running a chop, just an inner liner replacement. I’m pretty sure you got that. I’ll find out on the trail if the light and front of the fender interfere with stuffing.

Opinion on the lights…. Well my fenders came with no lights and I had to transfer my oem LEDs from my Sahara fenders onto these. Transfer /Installation was somewhat of a PIA., but they are perfect now.
