Howdy folks,
Wife and I have have made a decision on swapping out our 37’ Wildpeak MTs for Wildpeak ATW3s. We really don’t need the MTs in Colorado (though they look awesome) and they simply aren’t that great in rain and snow like the ATW3s are. We had 35” ATW3s on our previous Wrangler Sport and they were pretty awesome.
The part were still thinking on is whether to go from 37s down to 35s. The only sacrifice I can think of is that we would lose 1” of ground clearnance (and it wouldn’t look as cool). But we would gain a little efficency, better steering/handling, and it would be easier to change a tire (I can lift a 37 bu the size is a bit hard to deal with). Our Rubicon is already re-geared with a 4.88 ratio. So accelleration should be pretty good after the tire change. I’m guessing it would also be less wear and tear on the factory axles.
So is there anything I’m missing? What reason should I go down to 35s?
