More pics as I go but here is my quandry: The bumper doesn't fit. I DON'T think this is a MB issue. The craftsmanship on this bumper is off the charts in a good way. In addition, I already powder coated it so I don't want there to be an issue with it :)

But here is the real data, the bumper rests just a smidge too high and the bolts won't fit. I noticed a gap and sure enough it appears the sloppy weld is the cause; the blop is high enough to keep the bumper from being flush. You can see daylight in the first pic.

The second pic is a better-welded bumper.

Do I:

1) Grind down the weld
2) Enlarge the holes (recommended only to 5/8")
3) Modify the bumper so it fits around the weld
4) Sell you the bumper (not gonna happen)

fair enough, I didn't notice the gap until later, when I checked out the pics. I'll tear it down again tonight and take better pics.

99% done. There are two critical bolts that I need to install and it's ready.
