Just FYI, MORryde tells me they are about to release a new option for the Trail Kitchen - an enclosure that covers the fridge. It's got a MOLLE grid on the side and also holes for a Rotopax mount (for a water supply for the Trail Kitchen Sink Option). Height is adjustable to suit different height fridges. Photos of a preproduction enclosure:

@jscherb Looks great, and provides some extra structure on top of the Fridge. Couple of questions:
- Do you know when this will be announced or released?
- Are the dimensions that can fit in the new cabinet fixed, or does it fit a variety of fridge sizes?
- what are the supported dimensions?

I'm not sure if they'll be doing a formal announcement. They showed it to the industry at the SEMA Show in November, and a week ago they showed it at the Easter Jeep Safari Vendor Expo, and this week they'll be showing it at Jeep Beach in Daytona Beach.

I believe their design parameters are up to the size of an ARB 50. The enclosure can be adjusted from the size of a Dometic 35 (I think that's what's in the photos) up to the ARB 50. I don't know the exact dimensions. What fridge are you planning to use?

They haven't told me when it will be shipping, but as far as I know the engineering is done and it's ready to be manufactured, not sure if the instructions are written yet. I will also be at Jeep Beach so I will ask them these questions when I see them and will try to report back.

Morryde tells me the enclosure will be ready to ship within 2 weeks. It won't get to the resellers like Quadratec by then but you can order it direct from Morryde by calling them at the phone number on their web site.

Bringing this back up as morryde has a JL mounting kit where my previous version was custom (hacked) by me to fit. I'll be attempting to install in my '24 4xE this weekend, will have to see if the battery interferes at all - glad I never sold the trail kitchen as I'll get it to fit one way or another :).

Installed in the 4xe, no issues. I left the cargo cover out so I could keep the power box in the cubby and still get it in and out.

Just under half of the width, but if you got creative it could be moved a bit more to the left leaving a bit over half of the width. I sold my jl (for a jtr) but still have the Trail Kitchen if you're interested in it.
Is this system quiet? Or does it rattle?

My MORryde Trail Kitchen hasn't done any JL time yet but it's done lots of trail miles in both my LJ and my JKU and it's been quiet - no problem with rattles. This photo was taken about 12 miles from the nearest pavement, camping in Death Valley.

Great photo! ? I've been waiting to pull the trigger on buying it because I haven't seen too many thorough reviews on it

Thanks! My main concern is how quiet the system is. I have the tuffy security deck and it is LOUD! I was looking at goosegears kitchen but they're stuff is prohibitively expensive and their refrigerator enclosure is way too large for my 2 door. With the morryde, is it stable when you pull the drawers out? I know it can handle bigger stoves (I use jetboil basecamp 2 burner stove) but I'm worried it may bend over time. How has it held up? I try to camp once or twice a month so it will absolutely be used

The slides used are 250-lb. capacity so they are very strong. It's quite stable but there's a slight bit of flex as might be expected with something that slides out as far as it does. Nothing that prevents it from being plenty stable for cooking and using the sink - unless you push up and down on it, it isn't going to flex when it's in use. It won't bend over time, mine has been in use in both of my Jeeps and in my trailer for several years and it shown no signs of degradation over time. Besides the 250-lb capacity slides, the base and the rest of of the components are made from

You mentioned Goose Gear... a lot of people like their drawers but as you said all of their stuff is crazy expensive. I made a drawer unit to match the Trail Kitchen out of plywood and hardware store drawer slides, it works very well. If you are a little bit handy with woodworking you could make one and if you do I'll be happy to show the construction details of the drawers.

I covered the construction of the Trail Kitchen side drawer unit over here: https://forum.expeditionportal.com/...factory-hardtops.127687/page-230#post-2519701. If something isn't clear from that series of posts I'll be happy to answer any further questions.

The JL no-drill mounting kit from MORryde for the Trail Kitchen has factory bolt points for a drawer unit:

Sorry it took me a few days to respond, I've been traveling.
