Hello again,

After making this thread https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/forum/threads/odometer-interrogation-record.113565/ and discovering that an old part had been put in our used Wrangler, I’ve now rummaged through JScan and found various values that concern me; specifically the airbag module odometer as well as the powertrain module. It would seem to me that either something has been rolled back, or major parts have been replaced with old parts? This is a used car, imported from Canada to Germany.

Our car according to the dashboard, has driven 31.000 KM, and most other modules report between 28-31.000 KM correctly.

Anyone with insight into what these values below indicate?

Powertrain module:
  • EEPROM CTP LAST ODO RESET — 164153 KM; ?? Why is this 5 times higher than the dash
  • MA_ODO_AT_CRANK_INHIBIT — 86399.000 KM; also much higher than dash
  • MA ODO AT LAST PREENERG — 86399.000 KM

Airbags module:
  • Most Recent Odometer Value — 104854 KM
  • Original Odometer Value — 104854 KM

What are these values representing:
  • EEPROM CTP LAST ODO RESET
  • MA_ODO_AT_CRANK_INHIBIT
  • MA ODO AT LAST PREENERG
And why are they showing significantly higher KM values than my dashboard?

Thanks <3

Did you check Carfax to see if it was involed in a crash? The dash could have been damaged which resulted in the cluster being replaced.

Yeah, I think I checked all of those of sites pretty well. However, the car has been “converted” to Europe standards, from Canadian.. spent some time in Germany and then imported to another EU country.

Most other modules correctly report around 31.000 KM, so I’m assuming the dash is alright. However seeing a 164.000 KM record with eeprom in the naming worries me. Trying to determine the friendly naming/description for those values above, so that I can investigate further.
