I moved them from the old grilleI just swapped my grill out and I noticed the new grill does not include the rubber piece on the top left and right corners that my existing grill has. You can kinda see it at the bottom of the picture below from the Quadratec video. I did not see anyone else mention this. Did you guys just move them over to the new grill or not even bother?

Thanks...they are glued down. I figured I'd just replace them but I can't find the part numbers. There are numbers stamped on them (68804910ab and 68804911ab) but they doesn't return any matches when searched.I moved them from the old grille
They're held on by two push pins and some double-sided tape. If you pull out the pins and pull the rubberized foam from the middle, working it back and forth a bit, it'll come right off. I reinstalled it on the new grill and reused the push pins... before finding new push pins in the packaging. If you really want to you can remove the double-sided tape and replace it with some 3M outdoor or automotive tape. Given that the foam is always in compression and held in place by push pins, I didn't bother.Thanks...they are glued down. I figured I'd just replace them but I can't find the part numbers. On mine, the pieces were held down by plastic push pins. The grill came with replacement pins for those rubber pieces. Step 2 of the instructions show how to remove them from the original grille and Step 11 shows how to install them on the new grilke
Thanks guys! Duh...I didn't even reference the included paperwork as the install was so easy otherwise. They're held on by two push pins and some double-sided tape. When I saw that amazing look of the black grille at that red JL, I decided to do the same at my Firecracker Red JL. In this forum and at all order pages I`ve seen you can read that Rubicon and Sahara modells have a grille made of 4 parts, middle part and three colored moldings around. At the other hand, the grille of Sport modells is only one piece without any separate moldings.I think she’s looking pretty good this morning so I decided to share this shot.![]()
Ouch. That shippingWhen I saw that amazing look of the black grille at that red JL, I decided to do the same at my Firecracker Red JL. I own an (european ) JL Sahara, so I ordered the satin black grille (the middle part) only, because I wanted to install the 3 colored moldings from my original grille around the new black middle piece.
Last week order arrived (after 3 weeks shipping time), and I tried to install it, but - surprise - the colored grille in my Sahara is only one part, there are no separate moldings to take of. So there is the grille of a Sport modell in my Sahara.
I don`t know, but I think that is another "special feature" of the european JL-modell.
I had to order these 3 moldings separatly (another 168 Dollar including shipping) - and I`ll have to get them painted in my body colour...

It`a bad picture, bad weather and no sun around here... - but I love it
I have been to our local Jeep dealer, and all european JL there, Rubicon and Sahara, have a grille made in one part like a Sport.
I had to pay 250$ for the black grille and another 220$ for shipping and import taxes. Than I had to re-order the 3 moldings seperatly, another 180$ for shipping an taxes, plus 140$ for painting - all together 790$
If I had known this before, I had chosed to paint the red grille with plastidip...
You have a Rubicon so you already had trim pieces you could have swapped over from your original grill.I installed the grill but never got the three trim pcs. I honestly barely notice it so never bothered with it.
