I plan to. I think it will look good on Sting-Gray.

I also think Sting-Gray will look good on Sting-Gray but I'm not sure because I have never seen it.

The satin black can contrast really nicely on a lot of colors. Since the grill is very easy to take off, would it be an inexpensive route to do a satin black wrap to achieve the same look. It has the added benefit of reverting back to body color if you ever change your mind down the road.

LOL. I'm gonna upgrade to the blacked out grill on the stingray as well.

That was definitely on my list of possible upgrades. I was thinking of Plasti-dipping mine this summer to see how it would look. But it would be great is someone here with a Billet-Silver Rubicon with black fenders posts pictures. :)

How do we know they won't change it to body colour after you've ordered?
It's only available as a Mopar accessory. I don't believe you can order it directly from the factory.

That's a benefit of buying the black grill too. Keep the old one and if you get tired of it switch back.

This black grill offering talk got me thinking about....

Many years ago, when I went to look for my first Wrangler. I was about 17 and with a very cute gal pal...

I went to a Jeep dealership in a bad area around Harlem, in New York City.

Anyway, was walking to the dealership parking lot thinking what color, etc. when I came across this thug sitting there leaning back against a Wrangler's rear wheel, drinking a quart of beer.

He told my gal pal with a big smile.... "Once you go black, you never go back"..........

I figured he was in the know as he hung at the dealership around the clock.. So, I did as he suggested and got black and never went back . ;) All my Wrangler's have had black roofs.
He was right!

I don't know if I will shell out the cash for a new grill. Once I get my JL, I will price out wrapping the grill vs buying the Mopar grill. I think a wrap will be much less expensive.

I will definitely be buying this one. Right now my JK is the altitude edition with the black grille (white jku) and I like the two tone look. I will be doing this on my JLUR (Punk'n) which will also have black fenders / top (dual tops in black). At some point will also do all black wheels, but may run the stock (non-upgraded) wheels for a while. I'm hoping it is in the $3-500 range, anyone have a price idea on this?
