Want to keep the stock Rubicon sliders as I like how they look. But my wife is struggling hard getting in and out of my Jeep. I had the Rock Hard 4x4 Patriot sliders on my JKU and I liked them. Was going to just get another set but was kinda of scared off due to all the body bolt breakage horror stories. So pivoting to the Mopar Performance Sliders, but there seems to be so little information on them. Looks like a small step, does anyone own these and can speak to the usefulness of the step or maybe even provide a picture of the step in use? It's hard to grasp how much of a step is even available and how sturdy it is.

With my use I don't wheel hard enough anymore to be pivoting off of sliders, I only keep them for insurance if I make a mistake and come down on a rock or something. So I feel they could hold up to that kind of use, but it's not clear to me. I HATE the look of the pinch seam which is what drove me to the RockHard's in the beginning.

Thanks for any help.

I have the MPS/with step assist. They indeed help the little lady get in and out of Jeep. Have not yet really tested on rocks but they are sturdy. Pic of them.

Hi

Put on a set here is a few pictures, not wide enough for your whole foot but good enough to get your toes on so to speak

They are a direct swap for your factory Rubicon sliders, no messing with body mounts

I love mine. The trick is stepping on them side ways. But they work great imo.

I’ll hopefully put them to test to the rock test next week in Moab. I won’t be doing anything too gnarly so will if I can even use them properly as rock sliders.

They are 8 lbs each (left and right) heavier than stock. They feel fairly beefy. Very easy install.
And they keep the OEM look.

My wife’s favourite modification to my Jeep by far.
They’re useful to get a toe hold or step sideways onto for her, narrow enough to step over for me.

I personally like the Rock Hard 4x4 sliders for best-of-all-worlds performance. I purchased the angled-down tubes for a better step. They are completely sealed, so no open ends or tubes or plastic caps. That's important in bad salty, slushy Montreal winters. I did not worry about the body bolts, but I had a shop do the install so they could put it on a lift.

I added them to my new '22 JLUR, and had them on my previous '18 JLR- very easy swap from the factory Rubicon rails.. On the V-notch obstacle on the Wheeler Lake trail here in CO last year, I slid off the "V" and put the rails to use- they worked great and helped keep the body off the rocks- the textured finish held up great and all I ended up with from this was some scratches on the rear fender. Nothing like having an audience when you slip up!

They are an easy swap and sturdy enough. As everyone here has already mentioned they are functional as a step but not super wide.
Only thing I would add is they are a little pricey. The best price I got for mine was from BAM Wholesale parts. Great service and would recommend them.

Look at the White Knuckle Off-road sliders. The protect the Jeep, and can be ordered in a 45 or 90 degree so you can use them as a step. Also, they are strictly Fram mounted. You do have to drill a hole in the frame, but better than using the body mount bolts and breaking them. I put them to use in Moab and they did awesome.

I installed the M.O.R.E hide a step on my 2022 Rubicon passenger side, works great easy to remove when you need to and easy to install.

I ordered them for my new JL. I liked the ones that came on the 2018 Recon I had but it appears Jeep does not carry them anymore. We’ll see how these work.

I have them on my 2020 and my wife uses them every time she gets in the Jeep. I bought them as take offs from a Recon. Very easy install and I like the looks

I have those Mopar step-assist rails and they work great as a step (I need the step due to defective knees). We had the Rock Hard angled-up rails on our JK and those were fantastic. I would have gotten those if my JL didn't come with the step-assist rails.
