MOPAR LED JL LIGHTS! SUMMER 2019???? MASSIVE BACK ORDER!

Yup, I had to settle for a JL without the package but had paid for a Jeep with the package, damn dealership, but they said they would make it right when the parts became available. This was back on April 3rd, spoke with the dealership today and yea, we're probably looking at between a year or two on the LED package upgrade. OEM headlights are available now but are expensive and don't come with the fogs and turn signals. What would you guys do, wait the year or two because the upgrade cost $895 for the whole package installed, or get your money back and only get the OEM headlights for the same price? Also, any dealership employees out there know if there is a time limit for being on a parts list like this? I'd go ballistic if I waited then found out I'd been dropped and our agreement was no good because of the time lapse.

OKAY! this is SOOOOOO out of control! anyone with me on this? I JUST spoke to Mopar and they informed me of a humongous back order until July 2019!! SAY WHAT NOW??? what is that all about! everyone lucky enough to have these in your JL are lucky SOB's! anyone SELLING any? thought' i'd ask..

Not lucky, just intelligent enough to just order them to come with the jeep... It's not that hard.

I bought my Rubi off the showroom floor in February and ordered the remote start, tow package and LED light group from the dealer to be installed when they arrived. everything else is installed, but the headlights and fog lights. I called FCA and complained back in April and now a very nice lady from Jeep customer service calls me every week and tells me the back order has been pushed back further. As of last weeks conversation they are supposed to start shipping in September. I can only assume that in September it will be pushed back to October and so on and so on.

Any update on this?

I ordered my Sahara on December 5th with LED lights and it arrived on Decemer 24th with the LED lights.

My JLUR has the safety package that includes the tail light LEDs. But I think the front turn lights are incandescent and the headlights are halogen. I'm waiting for the Mopar headlight kit to hit the dealers.

For driving lights, I was going to install some type of decent quality light. I have 4 Baja Designs S2 lights (2 wide/2 spot) on my truck, triggered by a relay controlled by the high beams, and like them a lot. I'll probably do something similar on the JL.

some people didn't want to wait for an order. it's not about "being intelligent". it's just how it worked out.
