That's a weird explanation, considering half a dozen members' SG's have been painted over the last few days. Why would the tops require more space and the bodies wouldn't?
I would assume painting them at the same time would require space. The black ones get painted separately. That's just my uneducated guess.

Possibly for spraying the tops with whatever base coat is needed to get them to match?

My job right now is pretending to work while I constantly check this forum.

I don't think anyone has noticed. have they noticed? They have probably noticed.
I float between work, this forum, and looking at an online dating site. This is my life at 52.

It took 12 weeks for my wife’s Grand Cherokee Overland to be built in 2011, so I’m sticking to 12 weeks from order date, which was 3/24. I expect to see it sometime in June. Excited to see pics of everyone’s once you get them in!

I followed a Destroyer Gray Dodge Charger down the highway for a while yesterday and sighed deeply. How can grey be such a wonderful colour if it's just a lack thereof? When I studied photography, I carried around a Gray Card, supposed to be middle-grey or half-way between white and black (it's actually only 18%, but that's another story). This was used to take light-meter readings in the studio... To make the story short, this colour reminds me a lot of that Gray Card and I feel very nostalgic.

No matter what colour I opted for, the driving experience of the JL (it's main purpose) is why I'm buying it. Being long-term happy with the outside look is why I plan to keep it for a long time. I'm not sure I could feel the same in 5 years about Punk'n or Mojito! or Firecracker Red... Or maybe I would.

Proud to be a member of the Sting-Gray Club!

The 18% Gray Card must be the exact subconscious reason I love Sting-Gray so much. I love color correcting videos.

Just placed my order and received an order number. I went with black top so not sure if that will help or not but besides the cargo tie down rails being back ordered are there any other items that slow the production?!

We will probably be over 200 before the first owned SG graces these pages I predict. But that's okay, I am still enjoying the ride with all of you.
