@IdowaJeeper
You know initially, I thought this thread was kind of a dumb premise, but now, I really am appreciative of this thread. Quite possibly my favorite thread which I will more than likely be ongoingly posting in.
Shocker!! The guy who drinks Everclear makes a lot of drunk purchases!?
So for those of you who don't know, what you need to have a good polyethylene fuel canister is a HIGH DENSITY polyethylene fuel canister. This being said, a lot of companies who make both water canisters and fuel canisters, make them from the same product, and then tag on two different prices. Because people will happily pay $120+ for a 5 gallon fuel canister, but no one in the right mind would pay more than $80 for a 5 gallon water canister.
That being said, rough country is selling these HIGH DENSITY polyethylene "water" canisters, which just so happens to have a lot of features you would need if you stored fuel in it, but only one of which (UV Protection) you would need to store water in it. But it's definitely not designed for fuel, because that would make too much sense!

Amazon link HERE because at the end of the day, Amazon will deliver it to you quicker than Rough Country would, free of shipping charges, with possibly the best refund policy on the planet!
I actually just received it tonight. I'll open it up sometime this weekend, and fill it up with diesel fuel, I'll let it sit in the garage for 24 hours and then if it doesn't melt the plastic, I'll put it on the roof rack of the Wrangler. Might even order a second one because why not!
They only sell it in tan and gray, I wish they sold it in army green, but beggars can't be choosers!
EDIT: I guess I should probably state that though I may be more free-spirited when I'm drunk, I tend to keep my wits about me. I'm not the kind of person who's going to make a purchase based on misunderstood ideas, and then go and spend money on it. I am the kind of person who would take concrete ideas, and then purchase something I otherwise wouldn't when I'm drunk. Basically my wallet opens a lot easier when I'm drinking.
Just thought I'd clarify, cuz this post probably sounds like a coherent sober mind, when in fact it was most definitely a drunk purchase!
