Maybe a vinyl wrap with a barely visible perforation, similar to the seam on the leather panel.

Airbags shatter laminated safety glass and cause compound fractures. Vinyl film will not keep one from deploying.

Once I receive my 21ā€™ Rubi Iā€™m taking the dash apart and painting all the red pieces black (most likely gloss, but am considering matte as well).
That'll still leave me with red stitching on the seats and steering wheel, so I can't truly make it a different color on the inside. I was just thinking of making the dash black to tone down the red a bit.

Only thing Iā€™ve done is this (pic attached). Thereā€™s some cool decals on Etsy.
Iā€™ve been looking into getting the leather Sahara dash... about $300 tho
Iā€™ve also thought about taking it out and painting it to match my sting gray color

There are a lot of people who don't love the red dash! I absolutely do! I also love the reverse gear on my manual shifter that is also red and the switch for the lockers. Personal preference i know but it def works for me! Just enough accents to make it pleasing to the eye.

You think airbags keep you safe? So you haven't had one go off in your face then....

There is no way vinyl wrap is stopping your airbag from deploying... no way.
Lol I have. 2018 JL. Saved my life and wife. No scratches, my face was fine. I remember it being a life-saving feeling really like falling on a very soft mattress. I saw the hood coming towards my face and my body fell as if it was falling from a 5th floor straight into the ground. Then gracefully the airbag stopped me from falling.

Yeahā€¦I got to thinking about that very thing last night while I was browsing through pictures of the interior. First thing that came to mind is using a fine or extra fine black sharpie to the threading. Undecided if I want to risk staining my surrounding leather seats after my butt rubs all the ink away. šŸ˜‚

One of the guys on here took a permanent marker in the matching color he wanted (if I recall it was lime green) and changed the color of each thread that was red.
