This is how it should have come from factory. Looks great and pays tribute to the CJ, just like the grill slats around the headlights. I'm considering buying another dash and painting it white on mine. I just really like the red on my white/black combo.

It shouldn't be grey.. I had in mind that if I messed up my dash I would quickly order the red, I just couldn't stay with the dull grey dash..

    See post #145.

I wanted the red as well, but am glad I painted mine to match the body. GL with your swap!

My Punk'N is on order and pick up is end of July (deployment). Thinking I want this in a anodized orange.. Think the Punk'N but in that semi shiny and matte mix of the red panels. Think that can be done?

I had my dash, Mopar spare tire reinforcement kit and shocks all painted when my lift was installed at Urban Jeep Outfitters in NJ. The dash looks so much better and doesn’t clash with the body color. Looks like my old CJ.

Sorry to duplicate my post, but if anyone wants to sell their old dash panels (whatever color, but not leather wrapped) I would like to buy a set.

I'm going to surprise my wife with a Wrangler that I ordered for her, and want to paint the dash yellow, but I won't have much time so I would like to get a second set and have them pre-painted and ready for the swap out.

If you don’t mind me asking was it pricey to have the dealer paint it?

Curious as well. My dealer doesn't seem even remotely interested in doing this work.

Where can I get a gray/black dash to replace? I checked a dealership and it's out of stock for grey...

Considering painting white dash panels as well. Have you seen any pics of anyone that has done this?

In would have done this a long time ago if I knew I was able to drive while the dash was removed. I had the ‘red’ dash stock in my Rubicon. I don’t know why it is referred to as ‘red’ because it is burnt orange, a color that in most Jeeps matches nothing else other than the sway bar disconnect panel and for me, the manual transmission pull handle on the gear selector. I didn’t have always found it to be one of my least favorite parts of my Jeep. For a long time I wanted to have it repainted red (actual red that would match accents on the white hardtop I have) but have decided to go with white and change a couple other pieces to red. My long term plans included red seat belts and keeping the black leather with red stitching.

I think this change will increase my love for the factory interior tenfold.

The new painted pieces should be back tomorrow and I will post pics.

If you have the red dash I've been looking to trade my gray one.
