I had a 98 until 2012 and just bought a fully loaded 2020 JLU Rubicon. When I had my TJ I was in San Diego and I left the top off all of the time and pushed the limits hard. At least twice a year I was stepping into a Jeep with 4" of standing water in it. Over the years my dash had serious troubles and I suspected the rain caused it. I would be driving and the entire dash would just shutoff.. completely off but it was running just fine. A hard smack and it was back on. That dash was super simple compared to my 8.4" Touch Screen. Does anyone have any practical experience with these modern electronics when exposed to the elements? Any good tips to protect them other than "don't leave the top off"?
