If you are a bugler/trumpeter or just any sort of musician, you can join the annual Taps Across America group playing taps at 3 pm your local time. Don't have to sign up, just play to honor the fallen.

I've lost too many. As I get older it's hard to remember all the names.

Have no idea why my last video wouldn’t post. Starting over…
In honor of all who have gone before me and paved the way for our freedom & also my cousin SGT Isaiah Sinclair who was KIA during Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2005. I salute you! 🇺🇲

I posted this in another thread earlier.

Including numbers from WW1 there has been over 600,000 US service members killed in action, over 92,000 listed as missing in action and on average there are 250 veterans that take their own lives annually. Staggering numbers. Plus, there are well over 1 million injured during that time period. I salute them all.

My wife and I make a visit to a local cemetery to visit family and give thanks for those that served. Each flag represents a veteran, but not necessarily someone who died during a war. Either way, it always seems pretty somber to me.

Every year on this day, my Daughter & her family put flags on veterans graves at their local cemetery. This year they took their Granddaughter, my Great Granddaughter, for the first time. Not many flags yet because they just got there.

Just to clarify and remember the few who gave all:

You are absolutely right to correct my post and I wanted to acknowledge that openly. Mine said "for those who served" but it is for those who DIED while serving.
Kudos to you for speaking up.
