I have my cord protruding from the USB area all the time. I would love to have a hole in the media cover for the wire, and then I'd tighten the wire cord. (1) Anyone have experience with this, maybe a way to make it cosmetically look good with a washer type *piece to put in the hole? I would only do this if I could order a replacement in case I eventually sell the jeep or stop using the USB connector. (2) Anyone have knowledge how to order that piece from Jeep?

*Grommet as pointed out by Heimkehr

While I did not run it through the front, I did cut a hole to run the cable behind and up the dash. If you are just trying to keep it closed you could do what you said or I have 90 degree adapters I can send your way. I ran a 90 degree and plugged in my cord and run it through the hole and behind the dash.

EDIT: I don't believe you can order just the cover from what I have seen others attempt. You'd likely have to replace that entire portion of the panel.

I think youre saying it still wont close flush with a hole. I would have to cut a rectangle or something for the USB to get through. I think your right.

@Heimkehr Yes, grommet thank : )

Yes, cutting straight through the front is the only way to get it to sit flat. Or remove it altogether. I don't mind how it is barely cracked on mine. I mainly wanted to conceal the cable and have it mostly closed.

I use the one in the console (USB2), the one on the dash is for the concessional passenger.
