I don't do pics. I'm not sure why. I have cameras. I just don't use them. It always feels silly to take a picture of something I can see with my own eyes, so I end up with no pics.

That pic was taken in the burn area on the north side of Waldo on the Taylor Burn Road.

That's what I thought. What an example of a fire devastated area, not unlike the McGrew.

There is another fire going right now on the west side of Waldo

Yeah, I saw that. I had a couple thru-hikers (PCT) stay at my house while they figured out their logistics. They got pulled, by search and rescue crews, from northern California due to a fire, then they would be running into the fire near Waldo. They ended up just buying a bus ticket to Washington and they'll finish the Oregon portion of PCT later.

Sad, but every year now seems like a wildfire season.

I've got a new permit, but sold my rig. Not sure if I am going to somehow make this happen, but thinking, if I can, there may be a couple people that would like to do the trail. My permit is for June 21, Friday, of this year. Anyone interested?
