Just a brief update for those that may be following - I have an appointment at the dealership, but it's about 3 weeks out. I'll let you know what they determine.
Additional symptoms have popped up - When I didn't drive the Jeep one day, the next day it had a dead battery (obvious power drain). When this happened, I got a light saying "Water in fuel". I was over 200 miles into that tank of fuel with no problem, and only 2800 miles on the rig total, so I doubted the idiot light. But, I drained the filter anyway and found NO water.
Also, my "apps" on the radio screen keep changing, deleting themselves randomly, and then reappear as they choose. After I've driven long enough to charge the battery, no more problems.
I'm guessing the light and the apps are additional symptoms of the battery drain.
When I replaced the battery on my Ram with a similiar unconnect system, it took time for the apps to repopulate, so I think that’s just a symptom of the drain.

I’d throw a trickle charger on it when it’s at the house if you can (or if disconnecting the marker doesn’t stop the problem).

An update for those that may have a similar issue -
I made the service appointment for the light/battery issue about three weeks ago. About a week and a half ago, I noticed that condensation was starting to build in this RR taillight (LED).
Today at service, they determined that the condensation had begun to corrode the terminals in the light, causing the light to remain on after the Jeep was turned off. I'm not sure how that would happen, but..... A new one is on order under warranty with hopes that it will fix the issue.
Side symptoms of "Water in Fuel" light, sporadic Aps disappearing/re-appearing on the U-connect 4, and a few other oddities were most likely simply driven by the waning battery charge due to the light draining them when sitting.
I'll let you know if it doesn't resolve things.
Thanks for all the tips.
2022 JLURD out.

Hope that's it, but it doesn't sound like the root cause...?
Water in fuel worries me, but Uconnect app refresh happened to me on battery change in my Ram.

When I mentioned the Water in Fuel idiot light the service manager agreed that it was likely caused by the drained battery. I'm buying that for now. I hope.
It doesn't make sense to me either as being the cause - I don't see why the bad connection would illuminate the light. But I'll wait and see and keep you all in the loop.
Thanks.

Just to wrap up this topic - I got my new tail light installed today. Working great, no more lingering LED light on. I'm not sure how it did it, but it seems to have fixed things nicely.
Kudos to Enumclaw Jeep service department - Friendly, quick, very helpful, and knowledgeable.
Thanks for the assist to all here as well.
