Looking for suggestions on how to properly balance a chopped SUV trailer, my owners manual says the JLUR can only support 350lbs of tongue weight; that seems rather low considering total rated capacity is 3500 lbs. I've come across a few XJ builds with accompanying trailers, literally made from another salvaged XJ. If a "puny" ? Unibody can support such, there must be a trick to this great balancing act. Or am I worrying too much about tongue weight; is it negligible?
